Flag Size Guideline

Below is a chart of the suggested flag sizes to the height of the flagpoles. we have created a ratio proportion sizing guide for the size of the flag to suit the height of the pole. Many of the reasons for these are obvious but just incase we have identified these below for consideration whaen choosing the size of the flag to fit your flagpole.

  • when the flag isnt flying it will hang down the pole.
  • if it is oversized it may encourage vandilism as it could be within touching distance
  • an oversized flag looks visually wrong and can often cause offence to the desired country for not complying with their flag flying criteria
  • the weight of an oversized flag can cause damage to the pole, especially when a flag is wet. We do not recommend double sided flag mainly for this reason.
  • cheap flags with eyelets should not be used on flagpoles, these eyelets fail and the flag will be stuck at the top of the pole.
  • More detail to be added as we experience these issues.
